    • Horrible car and even worse customer service

I bought the EV6 brand new. Had to have the entire charging cable system redone in the first 6000 miles. Took them 3 visits and a total of 16 days to figure out the problem and fix it. Mean while, I had to pay out of pocket for a rental. Still havnt recieved reimbursement. Then it spent another 3 weeks in the shop because the front bumper sensor would not stop going off. Again paying out of pocket for a rental. After 3 weeks they told me it was hit with a pebble and had a very small scratch on it. So since it was hit by something it wasn't their problem (still under the 12,000 miles). Extremely sensitive system, I know plenty of people with different vehicles that would not have had that issue. While I enjoyed the car when I was actually able to drive, it wasn't worth how unreliable it has been and how crappie their customer service treated me.
    • Full of surprises!

We researched several EVs online and discovered that the feature set we wanted was only in a couple of cars (opening sun roof, passenger seat has same settings as drivers seat, heated steering wheel and seats and a dash display in front of the driver) We then looked into availability. 9 months delay…… We then went looking to see the actual vehicles. ID4 and EV6 were the only 2 we found. ID4 did not have an opening sun roof. My wife found an EV6 in transit that was not spoken for. We bought it. This is the GT-Line AWD with all the bells and whistles. We could not be happier. We have taken longish (150 plus mile) trips all around and found it very comfortable and surprisingly fun to drive. The fun trips are not on the big highways but rather the back roads. On big highways we use the HDA2 which turns the car into almost a full self driver. As long as you go the speed limit, the HDA2 will detect speed limit changed and automatically adjust. The fast charging was a surprise (we are new to EVs) The heads up display was something that I thought was a gimmick until I started using it. The remote park feature is used daily to get the car in and out of the garage. The camera views really help with parking. Our dog is quite happy laying on the floor in the back or standing on the center console and sticking his head out the sun roof.

I have been a big KIA fan and my last vehicle was/is a 2018 Stinger GT which I love. I purchased the EV6 AWD Wind model for my wife and the both of us love it. The styling is pretty cool, but definitely would not consider this anything close to an SUV. It has a hatch with low (bumper level) entry which is great for sliding in large items. PROS: 1. Solidly built and when you close the door it sounds solid. 2. Ton of safety features 3. Competitive mileage even with AWD. 4. Very good sound system, but Stinger far superior in sound IMO. 5. FAST!!! 6. ECO mode turns off one motor and becomes 2WD 7. Quiet and great ride. (First time my wife ever commented how much she enjoys driving a car.) CONS: 1. OMG the exterior door handles SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We both commented how much we hate them! 2. Entertainment/Environment controls. Whomever designed and approved should be fired. What in the world were they thinking???? Constantly turning on the A/C or increasing the fan speed instead of changing the radio station or sound level or vice versa. They want us to keep our eyes on the road but the way these knuckleheads designed the system you have to toggle between environment and entertainment before controlling either one with the same buttons. Extremely annoying. 3. Spare accessories kept in the back (spare tire kit, lugs, etc) constantly flying around. Why didn't they design a secure location for these items? Seriously this is a strong vehicle for the EV market and not sure why it's not receiving more attention. The CON's I mentioned obviously not deal breakers, but seriously they could have done better.
